Tie-dyed before weaving, so the pattern blurs at the edges. That is the point.
Mudmee is Thai ikat: the yarn is tied and dyed before it goes on the loom, so the pattern arrives slightly out of register. The softness at the pattern edge is how you tell it from a print.
Woven in Baan Krua, the old Cham weaving community on the khlong in central Bangkok — the same neighbourhood Jim Thompson first bought from.

One colour, no pattern. Lets the silk do the work.

The house weave. Two tones in warp and weft, so the colour moves.

An archive tiger print. The one piece here that is a decision, not a default.

Hand-loomed. Weighs almost nothing and creases out overnight.
