Ambience Candle — Siamese Water

PAÑPURI pour these in Bangkok — soy and vegetable wax, lead-free cotton wick, fire-blown glass that is worth keeping after the wax is gone.

Siamese Water is their jasmine: flowers hand-picked at dawn in Tak, then sharpened with mint so it never goes syrupy. It refers to an old Siamese habit of steeping jasmine petals in rainwater jars.

Burn it two hours at a stretch. Anything shorter and it tunnels down the middle and you lose a third of the candle.
