Lemongrass and mandarin. A market street before the heat arrives.

Grapefruit and petitgrain. The one to run before eight in the morning.
Karmakamet started as a stall in Chatuchak market in 2001, selling dried botanicals by weight. The essential oils came later and are still blended in Bangkok.
Dawn is the brightest thing they make — grapefruit peel over petitgrain, sharp enough to wake a room. Six drops in a burner covers a bedroom for about two hours. It is the oil we put in the diffusers at the sales gallery, which is how most people find it.

Lemongrass and mandarin. A market street before the heat arrives.

Vetiver and smoke. For the end of the evening, not the start.

Wet leaves and green wood. Closest thing to the north in a bottle.

Sweet orange and clove. Reads as Christmas to anyone from a cold country.
